Reynaldo was born in Tangerang, Indonesia on 29th July 1996. He began learning music at the age of 10 with a private tutor in Singapore, where he moved during kindergarten and returned to Indonesia at the start of high school. Rey completed his studies at the Conservatory of Music Pelita Harapan University, majoring in Sound Design and Music Production, and graduated with a Bachelor of Art/Music in June 2022. He focused on contemporary piano, completing a thesis and a final recital. Rey also passed ABRSM classical piano practical exams from grade 1 to 8 and theory exams from grade 1 to 5.

During his secondary/middle school years, Rey joined his school’s guitar ensemble, participating in events like the Singapore Youth Festival guitar ensemble, where he won a silver medal, and performed in many school events. At university, he was part of the choir, winning a silver and gold medal at the Bali International Choir Festival. He later developed an interest in teaching, gaining experience as a classical/contemporary piano and children’s choir teacher.

Currently, Rey is studying at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) in Sydney, pursuing a master’s in music, majoring in classical piano performance. He started in February 2023 and has joined an ensemble group on campus, looking forward to completing four recitals in the next two years as part of the master’s program.
